Needed – 9 lengths of cord or ribbon 9 feet long

• SAMHAIN – black
• YULE – red
• IMBOLC – white
• OSTARA – purple
• BELTANE – green
• LITHA – yellow
• LAMMAS – gold
• MABON – orange
• PERSONAL COLOR – your choice

During the spellwork section of each festival, cleanse and charge the appropriate cord and rub the corresponding festival oil on the last few inches of each end of the cord. Tie a small know in both ends of the cord to prevent fraying.  Dip the tied knot in a bit of the melted altar candle wax from the festival after the candle has been extinguished.  Tie the cords around your waist during rituals.

Continue to do this at each successive festivals until you have three prepared cords, and then braid them together.  While chanting “May the power of (name of Sabbat) protect and bless this magickal cord.” 

Continue with the next three cords at the next three Sabbats, and braid them together.

After the last two cords have been prepared, add your personal color cord, and braid them together.

Take all three braided cord sets and braid them together at the next Full Moon. 

You will have a beautiful and powerful tool, a Witches’ Cord filled with the symbolism and energy of the Wheel of the Year Sabbats.
