Pendulums

Learning to use a pendulum is simple! With just a few steps, you can connect to divine guidance and uncover answers that empower your spiritual practice.

How to Get Started

Prepare Your Space

Rest your elbow on a stable surface and hold your pendulum so it swings freely. Keep your body relaxed and calm.

Calibrate Your Pendulum

  • Hold the pendulum as still as possible.
  • Say (aloud or in your mind), "Show me yes." Observe the pendulum’s movement as it begins to swing in a particular direction.
  • Stop the movement with your other hand, then ask, "Show me no." Notice the pendulum's new direction.

Now you’ve established your pendulum’s unique "yes" and "no" indicators.

Test Your Connection

Begin with a simple question. Hold the pendulum steady and ask, "Is my name [your name]?" The pendulum should move in the "yes" direction you've calibrated. Still the pendulum, then ask a false question, such as "Is my name [wrong name]?" It should then indicate "no."

Elevate Your Practice With Pendulum Charts

While pendulums typically provide yes-or-no answers, using a pendulum chart opens the door to much greater depth and clarity. With a chart, you can pose specific questions, explore a broader range of topics, and even receive insights you may not have thought to ask for.

Benefits of a Pendulum Chart:

  • Ask more precise, detailed questions.
  • Explore a wide range of topics and contexts.
  • Receive unexpected, intuitive guidance.

Using a Pendulum Chart

  • Place your pendulum over the center circle of the chart.
  • Ask your question and observe your pendulum’s movement.
  • For yes-or-no sections, the pendulum will indicate its response with the movements you calibrated earlier.
  • If you’re seeking further detail, hold your pendulum above each section of the chart. A "yes" swing confirms the message in that section applies; no movement means it does not.
  • Use additional sections of the chart to identify time frames, contributing factors, or other specifics.

A Dialogue With the Divine

With a bit of practice, using a pendulum chart transforms divination into an enriching dialogue with the universe. What starts as simple yes-or-no answers evolves into a nuanced and meaningful connection to divine energies. It’s a beautifully engaging way to deepen your craft and gain clarity on everything from personal decisions to spiritual mysteries.
